Macmillan Charity Golf Tournament.
Boston Golf Club recently held a Charity Am-Am in aid of Macmillan Nurses, of which Select Timber and MDF Products proudly entered a team featuring some of the stalwarts of the timber trade.
The team comprised of:
The captain, Malcolm Hyde - not our brightest member he still takes his own balls to the driving range.
John Badham - so smooth that Gavin Henson phones him for grooming tips. John Gemmill - "this is a team game chaps… there is no 'I' in team… but there is an 'M' and an 'E'." and David West - who took to golf like a duck to astrophysics and the duck had a greater chance of an 'O' level.
The competition was fierce and Team Select failed to come in the prizes but as in modern parlance we would rather have it remembered as a "deferred success!" So here's to the next time and as far as the duck is concerned, "orange sauce to you, matey".
